Nick Cannon is known for being filled with a bunch of love and spreading it all around. While that’s usually a good thing, it has also caused him to run into a few problems in his love life.
While recently appearing on the @jasonleeshow, The Daily Cannon host looked back on his past relationship with ex-girlfriend, Jessica White. The 42-year-old brought up the 2021 interview the supermodel did with Jason Lee, where she revealed that she had a miscarriage — a heartbreaking situation that came shortly before Brittany Bell announced she was expecting her second baby with Cannon in June 2020.
While speaking with Lee, Nick Cannon says he takes full “accountability” for that situation and for any misconceptions placed on White at the time due to his public notoriety. While applauding White for bravely sharing her pregnancy loss, Cannon called her “beautiful” and “my muse,” and admitted that he’s “still in love” with her. “That woman has overcome so much, and is just a light and an angel to so many, who operates on a higher frequency,” the father of 12 said. He continued,
“When she shared that, when it comes to any of the mothers of my children, those types of things — as someone who has lost a child, especially when you’re dealing with a mother, there’s no age or stage where you can say what their emotions should be when losing that child,” he said. Cannon went on to say, “Because of the power of the media and who I am in the media, she felt like there was a narrative that — that they say about all the mothers of my children — all of this low-frequency negativity.”
Speaking more about the brave model, Cannon continued, “I want her to share her true and honest story at any time. These women will tell their story … when they’re ready to do it. I want that,” he explained. “I don’t want to ever speak for any of them because I know they can speak for themselves. Even in times of pain, even in times of darkness, I’m leaning on them.”
As we previously reported, in White’s 2021 interview with Lee, the model revealed that her relationship started went left partly because of the way he chose to share his baby news with Brittany Bell. White said at the time that she and Cannon “understood each other” and were actually “in a really good space before things ended.” However, things started to fizzle out after Cannon and Bell’s announcement:
“She was aware that I had just had a miscarriage, two weeks prior to her news coming out because he told me that he told her. And I was living at his house, she knew that as well,” she said at the time. “But I found out on Instagram along with the rest of the world.”
“I was going through still my hormonal changes, and we were about to start in vitro,” she revealed. “So when I came out, people thought I was this homewrecker. No, there was a real-life going on. I was bullied for months with that whole situation. I still tried to be nice about it. We didn’t break up right away, we tried to work things out.”
As hard as it was for them, especially White, the two were able to move past that really tough time. Following that year, White was seen on social media supporting Cannon in the comment section of our post. She even hit back at critics who had something negative to say about them:
“I’m sorry if my ability to show kindness bothers you. … I just know Nick deserves more credit as an artist than he gets. That’s all! Now I’ll leave you all back to saying how stupid I am for not being in the comments and dogging him.”
