New Video Shows 7-Year-Old Milwaukee Boy Jamal White’s Father Running Into Home As Son Is Abducted At Gunpoint

Days after the 7-year-old Milwaukee boy Jamal White was found safe, WISN 12 News shared new surveillance video showing the child’s father running into his home as his son was abducted at gunpoint. In the new video, viewers can see the white Jeep Renegade parked on the side of the street that fateful night.

The vehicle soon begins to inch closer to the boy, who is seen riding his bike on the sidewalk, returning from a nearby park. According to Jamal White’s aunt, Simone White, her brother, Jamal’s father, was driving a sedan alongside his son. As the boy’s father parks his car in the driveway, the white SUV turns around and blocks him in.

Two masked men exit the Jeep at the same time. One man, the driver who appeared to be holding a gun, chases the boy’s father, who ran into the house. The second man, who was in the passenger seat, went after the child, who fled ran up the driveway. Seconds later, the first man runs back into the frame and gets in the SUV. The second man enters the frame next, running back to the Jeep with the boy in his arms. He then places him into the car before fleeing the scene.

The boy’s family soon runs out of the home and his father slams his arms on his car truck. Five hours later, the nationwide Amber Alert was issued. Within 24 hours, police recovered the boy in a home near North 39th and West Lloyd streets around 6 p.m., seven miles away from where he was abducted. He is currently with Child Protective Services. His family hopes to reunite with him soon.

Uncle Of Jamal White, 7-Year-Old Milwaukee Boy Abducted At Gunpoint, Charged With Firing Shots At Slow-Moving Car Next Day

Speaking with WISN 12 News, Jamal White’s aunt, Simone White, said, “I’m glad he’s OK, but it’s kind of like, I feel like I still can’t rest because who would do something like this to a 7-year-old?” When asked if she knew how this all happened, the boy’s aunt replied:

“We don’t have any answers, and I feel like that is what is bothering the family a lot. I feel like a lot of us are unsettled… We literally cannot thank the community enough because I genuinely feel like if it wasn’t for everybody just caring about this seven-year-old boy, we probably would not have found him.”

Meanwhile Jamal White’s uncle, 27-year-old Jamel White, has been arrested and charged with firing several shots at a slow-moving car near the family’s home a day after the abduction. He is charged with two counts of recklessly endangering safety and use of a dangerous weapon. His bond is set at $20,000 cash.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by WISN 12 News, Jamel White told investigators that he shot at the car because “he was scared for his family and he hid the gun behind the house in a wooded area.” Investigators say a father and son were in the car, but were not hit. The duo claim they were trying to help in the search for the missing Milwaukee boy. Replying to Jamel White’s explanation, Milwaukee County Court Commissioner Barry Phillips said:

“You were allegedly shooting at a car that was occupied by two people and did not hit the car at all. So even if you were defending yourself, you didn’t even make contact with the people that you were supposed to be defending yourself from.”
