The motion filed by the Kenosha County Assistant District Attorney’s Office said the video was sent to the office last week and didn’t who or how it was sent. In the clip, Rittenhouse is sitting in a vehicle with an unidentified individual as they watched the black male jogger exit out of the store. He says to his friend that the man appears to be armed and adds, “Bro I wish I had my (expletive) AR. l’d start shooting rounds at them.”

“The defendant’s understanding of the proper use of his “AR” and of deadly force is crucial to this case, and this video demonstrates that the defendant was eager to use deadly force in an unlawful situation.”

Additionally, the motion claims Rittenhouse is fully aware of the use of his automatic weapon and wanted to use it unlawfully in that particular situation.

“The video also demonstrates that the defendant fervently sought to insert himself as an armed vigilante into situations that had nothing to do with him. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the video proves that the defendant was ready and willing to use deadly force in a situation where it was completely unjustified.”

A second motion was also filed for the Rittenhouse family to turn in any names that donated to his $2 million legal fund or purchased merchandise from his family’s website.

The hearing for the motions are scheduled for Sept. 17.
