According to records, her tenure started being part-time in June 1991, and she worked her way up to a full-time assistant district attorney in November 1993, so now the division will start a full review of all the cases she prosecuted in that time.

“What happens in the long term is something she is going to think about in the weeks to come,” shared in the statement by lawyer Dane Ciolino, who verified the details to CNN.

As we previously reported, A Louisiana judge is encountering major criticism for her involvement in a video containing racist slurs.

The footage, which was sent to various news outlets and on social media platforms, apparently spotlights a group of people watching home surveillance footage of a burglary that took place at the judge’s home and making fun of the burglar as he tries to break in. Among the joking narrators, a woman’s voice is heard calling the suspect the n-word and describing him to as a roach.

My children and I were the victim of an armed burglary at our home. The police were called and the assailant was arrested. The incident shook me to my core and my mental state was fragile. I was a wreck and am still unable to sleep. I was given a sedative at the time of the video. I have zero recollection of the video and the disturbing language used during it. Anyone who knows me and my husband, knows this is contrary to the way we live our lives. I am deeply sorry and ask for your forgiveness and understanding as my family and I deal with the emotional aftermath of this armed burglary.”
