The footage shows the moment after officers Brett Hankinson, Myles Cosgrove, and Jonathan Mattingly fired several rounds of gunfire into Breonna Taylor’s apartment. Two of the videos were obtained by VICE News and the first clip shows an officer yelling at Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, and threatening to sick a police dog on him while telling Walker to get on his knees. Moments later, Hankison told Walker he “was going to jail forever” but the clip is cut off shortly after.

Another clip shows Hankinson entering the apartment after SWAT team members investigate the active crime scene and ask one of them if the rounds were theirs. However, he is told to exit out of the apartment since he was not escorted by a fellow LMPD officer. VICE News also reported the 40 hours of footage shows the seven officers without any escorts and remaining on the scene after the shooting while conducting witness interviews. LMPD policy requires all officers to be paired with an escort in order to be “isolated from all non-essential individuals for the remainder of the initial investigation.”
