Netflix’s Untold is adding one of 2026’s most viral sports-related scandals to its upcoming lineup.
“Untold: Wide Deceiver” will examine the case of Daejon Love, who was arrested for wire fraud after women accused him of posing as a San Francisco 49ers wide receiver and other identities to defraud them of millions of dollars.
The documentary will feature firsthand accounts from Love’s alleged victims and explore how his online persona helped fuel the deception. After his arrest, social media videos showing Love pretending to be an NFL player spread widely.
The film joins upcoming Untold documentaries about University of Texas football star Vince Young, Olympic breakdancer Rachael “Raygun” Gunn, and cultural icon Mr. T.
