Netflix Employee Who Criticized Dave Chappelle’s Special Allegedly Gets Suspended
Looks like Netflix has allegedly suspended an employee who spoke out against Dave Chappelle’s comedy special “The Closer”. Sources say, the employee lashed out on twitter and crashed a meeting with company leadership.
Terra Field, a senior software engineer that works for Netflix, tweeted last week that Chappelle “attacks the trans community, and the very validity of transness—all while trying to pit us against other marginalized groups.” Field and two other employees were fired following the tweet and attending a business meeting review that they weren’t invited to.
“It is absolutely untrue to say that we have suspended any employees for tweeting about this show. Our employees are encouraged to disagree openly and we support their right to do so,” a Netflix spokesperson shared.
however he did send out an email to his employees to let them know he is aware of all the talk that some social media users are looking to have the special taken down. Which the CEO has said they are not going to do.
As we previously reported, Dave Chappelle has been in the media lately for making comments about the LGBTQ community. And also comparing the rappers Da Baby’s controversial rants on his set of rolling loud to an incident that happened in Walmart with him shooting a man. Social media users are looking to cancel Dave, but also others are fighting for Dave. Socialites what do you think about this whole situation?
