NBA’s Russell Westbrook Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Houston Rockets star Russell Westbrook took to Instagram on Monday to share that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in quarantine, instead of training camp.

“I tested positive for COVID-19 prior to my team’s departure to Orlando. I’m currently feeling well, quarantined, and looking forward to rejoining my teammates when I am cleared. Thank you for all the well wishes and continued support. Please take this virus seriously. Be safe. Mask up!”

According to Houston Chronicle,Westbrook, James Harden and Luc Mbah a Moute have not joined the team in Florida for the NBA’s restart training camp.

When Westbrook does finally beat the virus and arrives in Orlando, he’ll then have to undergo the same 48-hour quarantine period that’s required for all players within the NBA bubble. Once that’s complete he can continue to participate in training.
