The news was confirmed by her brother Wayne Compton in a statement posted on social media which reads, ‘No no no I’m sorry bro, I accept you for who you are, I accept every flaw that comes with you, I’m sorry you felt alone, I’m sorry you felt you had nobody else to turn to. I’m sorry you felt you had no other option Destiny wouldn’t of wanted this, lord why keep taking my siblings away, how much can I take.’

Lashaee is well known for her appearance on the 7th season of ‘My 600lb life’ in 2019 and documented her struggles with mental health. According to Metro UK, she used food to “dull the pain” after losing her brother Anthony who died in her arms from a blood clot.

Since her exit from the show, Lashaee lost almost 500 pounds and documented her journey on social media to motivate her fans. Months before her death, she and other contestants filed a lawsuit against the production company Megalomedia, accusing them of failing to provide castmates with mental health treatment after the show.

She said the company only paid her for one therapy session which was filmed and part of one of the season’s episodes.
