Shootings are now a regular occurrence across the United States.

According to reports, multiple people were shot Tuesday at a funeral home in Northeast D.C., called the Stewart Funeral Home around 12:30 p.m.

As of now, officers have not reported on the conditions of the victims or whether the suspect has been apprehended, but reports note that at least one man is dead with three others injured. Police are also urging the public to look out for a green vehicle that was seen fleeing the scene,

According to NBC Washington, loved ones were gathered for the funeral of a victim who died by gun violence when someone started shooting as they left the ceremony.

“Alert: Shooting Investigation in the 4000 block of Benning Road NE. DO NOT TAKE ACTION CALL 911,” the DC police tweeted.

Metropolitan Police Department Chief Robert Contee said that multiple people standing by the funeral home were reported targets, but the motive is currently not clear. The funeral was held for a victim who was killed back in March.

“It’s unfortunate that someone would be so brazen to do such an act, let alone at a funeral. How low can you be of a human being to target other people at a funeral?” he said.
