Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo is sharing some sound advice for Memphis Grizzlies player Ja Morant following his second gun flashing incident. The rapper also claims that the 23-year-old NBA baller is just going through a phase, and is “gonna snap out of it.”
After Ja Morant brandished a second gun on another Instagram live, the NBA player was suspended from the league for a second time, was dropped from deals, and the internet wasn’t too kind to him making a second “mistake.”
Aside from social media users, his peers, former sports players, analysts and more all drug him for filth, and the people who let him off with a slap on the wrist from the first brandishing incident.
Earlier this week, Morant even required a wellness check at his Tennessee home after leaving some cryptic messages on social media. However, local law enforcement officials fortunately revealed that he “was fine,” and was just planning to take a break from social media.
Moneybagg Yo Says 23-Year-Old Ja Morant Is Just Going Through A Phase: ‘He’s Gonna Snap Out Of It’
While the Memphis Grizzlies baller took some time away from social media and the public, Memphis native and rapper Moneybagg Yo recently sat down for an interview with Speedy Morman, for his show ‘360 With Speedy Morman.’
During the sit-down, Moneybagg offered up some advice for Ja Morant following his second off-the-court incident. Bagg said, “Unfortunately, the situation going on with it right now… He 23, I feel like it’s just a phase.”
He continued, “Like, when I was 23…. It was like I was just doing stuff and people had to tell me, or I had to bump my head. So I’m grateful to make it out those situations. Some people don’t even shake back from certain situations, you feel me.”
Bagg also pointed out that if he didn’t keep grounded people are him during his rise to fame, he might have fallen down a similar path or even worse, he might not be here. While noting the fact that Morant is only 23-years-old, Bagg reasoned that he’s just young and still has room to make mistakes, learn, and grow from them.
Bagg added, “I just look at it, like, this one of them phases, bro. Ja gonna snap out of it, and of course I gave him encouraging words. He was like, ‘I appreciate that big bro, I got you. I’m gonna get it right.’“
