Mom And Daughter Charged With Murder Following Illegal Butt Injection Procedure

A mother and daughter in California were taken into custody and charged with murder after attempting to perform a butt injection procedure that resulted in a woman’s death.

The incident took place October 2019 but Libby Adame, 51, and her daughter, Alicia Galaz, 23, weren’t arrested until early August, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, since being released on bond August 5th, there trial date is now shortly approaching in December.

The victim, Karissa Rajpaul, 26, passed Oct. 15, 2019, in the hospital after she went to Adame and Galaz for what police called an “outlaw buttocks augmentation procedure.” 

“Shortly afterward, the victim died as a result,” a police spokesperson shared.

LAPD Det. Robert Dinlocker, stated Tuesday that Adame and Galaz did three procedures on Rajpaul and she passed away after the third one. Police discovered no medical certification in California for either of the suspects and believe that neither had ever achieved any form of training.

It is being told that the mother and daughter would have advertisements on their social media and would charged followers $3,500-$4,000 per session. Dinlocker is stating they would force their clients to receive a series of three sessions.

“These were uncontained silicone injections,” Dinlocker shared. “They would go under the muscle so the butt would have that natural look but the problem is, according to the coroner’s office, you’ve got major arteries right below that muscle and it’s likely that when they do that they can strike an artery.”
