Investigators identified the woman as 64-year-old Jacquelyn “Jackie” Olden and said she collapsed on the sidewalk near the Anheuser-Busch Brewery while jogging early Sunday afternoon. The surveillance footage shows she rolled onto her back and attempted to sit up so she could use her cellphone to call for help. She also stood up but fell down and hit her head without preparing for impact. Moments after the second collapse, a man is seen exiting out of a red Dodge Caravan and picking up Olden’s cellphone then drives away from the scene.
Around 1:45 p.m., Olden was transported to a local hospital where she later died. On Friday, St. Louis police released footage of the theft and asked the public for any information regarding the van and the male suspect.

Recently, Olden retired as a kitchen assistant at the Rossman School and she was known as someone with a “positive spirit”, the school wrote in a Facebook post.
“For seven years, her bright smile and positive spirit were an encouragement to all who entered the Dining Room, and she modeled strength of character and bravery to our students when she shared stories of her service in the Air Force during last year’s Veterans Day assembly”
