Minneapolis Police Union Chief Calls Protestors ‘Terrorists’ & Highlights George Floyd’s ‘Violent Criminal History’ In Letter To Members
While commending officers in a letter to issued on Monday, Minneapolis Police Union Chief Bob Kroll called protestors “terrorists” and made sure to highlight George Floyd’s “violent criminal history.”
In Kroll’s letter, he shared, “What is not being told is the violent criminal history of George Floyd. The media will not air this.” Per The Daily Mail, this history that Kroll speaks of, which stems from 1998 to 2007, includes: a five-year sentence served in 2009 for an assault and robbery two years earlier; and a conviction of charges ranging from theft with a firearm to drugs. In 2014, he’d moved to Minneapolis for a fresh start.
As for the protests, he says, “This terrorist movement that is currently occurring was a long time build up which dates back years. Starting with minimizing the size of our police force and diverting funds to community activists with an anti-police agenda. Our chief requested 400 more officers and was flatly denied any. This is what led to this record breaking riot.”
