Mike Myers has said that working with Beyonce on their 2002 hit film Austin Powers in Goldmember was quite the treat for everyone working on the comedy flick, considering they all ended up falling in love with her as soon as filming commenced. The 58-year-old funnyman made the revelation earlier this week at a Netflix Is A Joke event, where he was quizzed about his iconic lead role, per The Hollywood Reporter.

During the discussion, Mike remembered filming with the Formation singer, who told him she had no clue who Led Zeppelin was, the English rock group that has sold over 300 million albums worldwide, including 111 million in the U.S. alone. “‘ I don’t know this Led Zeppelin,'” Mike recollected Beyonce saying before returning to the set a few days later with the band’s music playing loudly on her headphones. “‘It’s Led Zeppelin — they’re great,'” B told her co-star.

Beyonce, who made her film debut as Foxxy Cleopatra in the motion picture, had left such an impression on not just Mike but the entire production team, they couldn’t help but fall in love with her, he expressed. The third installment starring Queen B became the highest-grossing film in the trilogy, earning an astounding $296 million at the box office and propelled Beyonce to become a movie star with plenty of more acting roles to come.

Speaking about the possibility of staging what would undoubtedly be one of the biggest comebacks in music history, Kelly gushed, “As naturally as we talk about so many other things, when the time is right, it will naturally come up in conversation somehow.

“We have fun together when we do decide to work with each other in that capacity. I don’t think either of us is opposed to it. It’s just, what’s the right opportunity? But I will say we haven’t had an official album out together in 17 years and for the questions to be asked now is really kind of awesome.”
