The guys are fighting! Comedian Mike Epps took a jab at NFL legend Shannon Sharpe during a comedy show, accusing him of being gay and making derogatory comments about his podcast, Club Shay Shay. Epps said during his set, “That n***a Shannon Sharpe called me trying to do an interview. I said ‘No Medea, I ain’t doing no interview with you’ – so you can sit across from me and look at my balls,” Epps said. “The n***a sh*t is called Shay Shay the n*gga is telling you. Put a wig on that motherf*cker and tell me if that ain’t motherf*cking Madea sister,” HNHH quotes.
Sharpe, who is completely unfiltered, did not take these comments lightly and responded passionately during a recent episode of Nightcap. In case you missed it, Sharpe expressed his frustration with Epps’ false accusations and vowed to protect his name. He stated that he doesn’t care about the rumors surrounding his sexuality, but he won’t tolerate lies being spread about him. Sharpe even threatened to release direct messages (DMs) to prove Epps’ dishonesty. He said, “Mention my name again, and I’m gonna put the DM … and I don’t like doing this. But you’re lying. I don’t care about all that other stuff. You can say I’m gay … I don’t care about that. ‘Cause I won’t chase a lie. But I won’t let you lie on my name,” Sharpe said. “Say my name again, and I’m gonna release the DM. Because you’re lying. You said I reached out to you to come on Club Shay Shay, and you’re a mofo lie. Now when I see you, I’m gon’ see if you’re about that. I’m gon’ see if you want to say what you been saying, trying to get some jokes because you got mad because Katt Williams did what he did.” Whew!
Upon learning of Sharpe’s response, Epps has now entered the chat. Here’s what he had to say in a new IG video:
Shannon Sharpe’s shows have been the talk of the entertainment streets after having back-to-b back explosive episodes with guests like comedian Katt Williams and Mo’Nique.
As we previously reported, Williams went on the show and aired nearly everyone out including fellow comedian Mike Epps. However, he seemed to have taken it lightly at the time.
“I put all these [m############] on and still putting comics on today. None of y’all [are] brave enough or care enough to work with him or come around him. Stop making this s### so bad. [We’re] comedians,” Mike Epps wrote.
He also added, “I put him in a movie when no one wanted to work with him. Some of that s### he said was true and some of it was not. At the end of the day, we [are] all Black men in a business that is not OURS. I cracked on his jacket because that’s what comics do. All this s### is marketing dummies. All the s### he said and y’all mad at me [face with tears of joy emojis]. Get the f### outta here. We having fun, y’all stressing.”
