Michigan Man Killed By Police After Stabbing Customer Who Asked Him To Wear A Mask
Sean Ruis, a 43-year-old Michigan man, has been killed by police after stabbing a customer at the Quality Dairy shop in Windsor Township, after they asked him to wear a mask.
On Tuesday, Ruis entered the store without a face covering and a 77-year-old man asked him to put one on. Refusing to do so, the store clerk then stated they would not service him and that he had to leave. Before vacating the scene, Ruis stabbed the elderly man. Subsequently, authorities were alerted and given his car and license plate info.

An Eaton County Sheriff’s deputy eventually found and pulled Ruis over, who “immediately” exited his vehicle and began walking toward the deputy “with a knife in hand to attack.” While attempting to keep her distance from Ruis by backing up and warning him to drop his weapon, the deputy ended up firing multiple shots, injuring Ruis. The suspect was then transported to a nearby hospital, where he died in surgery.
Following the police-involved shooting, the deputy has been placed on administrative leave, per department policy, and the 77-year-old man is expected to recover.
