Michael Jordan Delivers Tearful Speech For Kobe & Gianna Bryant

Fellow NBA icon, Michael Jordan took the stage for Kobe Bryant on Monday during his memorial service.

“In the game of basketball, in life, as a parent, Kobe left nothing in the tank,” said Jordan in tears. “He left it all on the floor. Maybe it surprised people … but we were very close friends,” said Jordan of Bryant.

Despite being compared and people attempting to turn them into rivls, there was always love between the two and Jordan revealed that Kobe always came to him for advice.

“Everyone always wanted to talk about the comparisons between he and I. I just wanted to talk about Kobe,” Jordan continued. “He wanted to be the best basketball player that he could be,” Jordan added. “And as I got to know him, I wanted to be the best big brother that I could be.”

Jordan led his speech with tears, reminding the attendees that Kobe would be the reason his crying face would turn into another internet meme sensation.

“I told my wife I wasn’t going to do this because I didn’t want to see this for another three or four years,” he said. “This is what Kobe Bryant does to you.”
