Michael Jackson’s former bodyguard Matt Fiddes is making it crystal clear how big of a “flirt,” “charmer,” and “ladies man” MJ was, even sharing how he apparently wanted to marry Beyoncé or Princess Diana.
In a May 24 interview with ‘The Art of Dialogue,’ MJ’s former bodyguard spoke on the King of Pop’s crush on Queen Bey. Fiddes said:
“Yeah, he loved Beyoncé. He wanted to marry Beyoncé. Beyoncé or Princess Diana. He told me he would marry Princess Diana in a heartbeat. And they spent hours on the phone together. But, Beyoncé, whenever he was asked to be given an award, he would always say, ‘If Beyoncé gives it, then it’s okay.’ And when we heard that she was at a party, we would turn up in the hope that he would catch her. She used to call. She was a good friend of his. She used to call all the time. But, yeah, he liked Beyoncé, a lot.”
Fiddes continued to share:
“It’s kind of, like, hard to say now, but we went to a Puff Daddy party, right? But not a Puff Daddy PARTY, like a Puffy Daddy party that people hearing this are gonna think. But, we were there for like five minutes. And we turned up unannounced ‘cause we heard Beyoncé was there in [Las] Vegas, and we were staying at the Palm Hotel. And we went there, and at first they didn’t believe us that Michael Jackson was in the back of the car. And in the end, Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, whatever you wanna call him now, said, ‘Yeah, that’s Mike. Come on in.’ We came on in, he sat down next to P. Diddy, and he said, ‘Is Beyoncé here?’ He goes, ’She just left five minutes ago.’ and he’s like, ‘Ahh. Matt, let’s go.’ And we left and we went.”
MJ’s former bodyguard continued to call him “a flirt.” He even cited Michael’s brother Tito Jackson, claiming he once dared folks to send their female partners to Mike’s house and see if they’d return.
“He was a flirt. Tito Jackson went on an interview, a podcast, and he said, ‘If anyone asks me, ‘Is your brother homosexual?,’ I say, ‘You go and send your wife to Neverland, or girlfriend, for one day. And good luck. Watch what happens.’ ‘Cause he’ll charm the knickers off her. He was completely into women. Completely. This is what Tito would say, ‘You go and send your—I dare you—go and send your wife or your girlfriend with Michael for one day or a couple of days and watch what happens.’ How charming he is. You know? It’s not the real guy like he projects out to the public. He was a flirt. He used to call women fish. ‘Bring that fish to my room.’ ‘I want that fish.’ That was his code for us to sneak girls into his room. I stay in contact with his girlfriends to this day.”
