Men Are Dipping Their Testicles In Soy Sauce As Part Of New Trend

The Internet is a very strange place and it seems young people are making crazier trends by the day.
According to Buzzfeed, the latest weird viral movement is dipping your testicles in Soy Sauce. It all stemmed from a 2013 study that explores how mice could taste food with their testicles.
TikTok user Regan, brought the study to life and challenged all of male social media users to “please dip your balls in something [because] it’s for science and I must know.”
Many make TikTok users responded to the video by testing the theory. User AlxJames posted a video of his reaction while dipping his testicles in soy sauce.
“Hold up now. Oh my god, I can taste the salt! That’s ridiculous!” he said in the video.
However, scientists report that it is not possible to taste food through your testicles. Dr Kieran Kennedy spoke to Men’s Health where he revealed,
“I definitely hate to be another doctor out there ruining everyone’s fun, but no – the facts here don’t support any truth in our testicles being able to taste flavours in the traditional sense. A number of studies have shown that various tissues have taste receptors – including various parts of the gut, the liver and (yes) the testicles. These have largely been conducted, however, in animals, and the study that seems to have sparked this TikTok ‘taste’ trend was performed on mice.”
