According to PEOPLE Magazine, Meghan and Prince Harry provided a wreath that has been laid for the Duke of Edinburgh on Saturday. They requested for it to include Acanthus mollis (Bear’s breeches), the national flower of Greece, to represent Prince Philip’s heritage; and eryngium (sea holly), to represent the Royal Marines, the news site notes.
In addition to the wreath, Meghan also included a handwritten card. Meghan was said to be watching the funeral service, which was broadcast live around the world, from home in Montecito. The Duchess of Sussex was hopeful to be able to attend but was not cleared by her doctor to travel at this stage in her pregnancy. Meghan is expecting the couple’s second child — a baby girl — this summer.
Following the funeral service, Prince William and Prince William were caught by television cameras walking out together and speaking—a possible indication of a family rift on the verge of repair.
