New details have emerged regarding the death of “Friends” star Matthew Perry, who passed away on October 28, 2023. The five individuals charged in connection with Perry’s death were accused of taking advantage of the situation to profit for themselves. Dr. Salvador Plasencia was among those implicated, allegedly distributing approximately 20 vials of ketamine to Perry over two months. His text messages reportedly showed disregard for the actor’s well-being, such as “I wonder how much this moron will pay.”
Iwamasa, who lived with Perry in his Los Angeles home, has been accused of administering ketamine injections without any medical training. It’s alleged that he was taught by Plascencia. In addition to Iwamasa and Plasencia, others charged in the case include Dr. Mark Chavez, “Ketamine Queen” Jasveen Sangha, and alleged street dealer Erik Fleming. Perry’s official cause of death was attributed to the “acute effects of ketamine,” with additional factors like drowning, coronary artery disease, and the presence of buprenorphine, an opioid.
