While celebrating this year’s Pride Month and Father’s Day, Marlon Wayans conducted a photoshoot as an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, father of a transgender child (Kai Wayans formerly Amai Wayans), and uncle to a lesbian niece (Chaunté Wayans, daughter of Elvira Wayans Jr.).
On Friday (June 14), Marlon Wayans shared several photos from a recent photoshoot celebrating Pride month. In the first photo shared, he captioned the post by celebrating Pride and Father’s Day and promoting his new Prime Video stand-up special.
Coupling a photo of him sitting on the ground shirtless and with a large rainbow flag draped across the right side of his body, Wayans wrote, “Happy PRIDE to all my LGBTQ+ peoples. Did a photo shoot with the great photographer @parrish_lewis dope pic. @GOOD GRIEF on @primevideo NOW! Watch it THIS FATHER’S DAY. P.S. I’m STRAIGHT… well, according to my child CISGENDER male. I just love and support my peoples.”
In a second post, Marlon Wayans posted a photo of him shirtless with the rainbow flag in his lap while wearing a black bucket hat with a rainbow stripe. Still sitting on the ground, he is now surrounded by handfuls of colorful balls, usually found in a kids’ ball pit.
Captioning the second photo, Wayans wrote, “Yeah, and just for the HATE MONGERS … I’m posting ANOTHER. As a father of a child in the LGBTQ+ community, I show my support. Zero f**ks what people think. If I lost you… GOOD! Your hateful a** never loved me in the first place. How can you love anyone when you’re too busy judging? Some of y’all funny. I’m a troll. I’ll post all day. HAPPY PRIDE to all my friends, fam, fans, and loved ones. I am happy you’re happy… period.”
Marlon Wayans continued to poke fun at the critics as he posted a third photo of him wearing a gray sweatshirt with several Pride pins along with a halved, rainbow-colored mask. He captioned the post, “You mad?! 😡 I can do this sh*t ALL DAY… but instead, I think I’ll do it ALL MONTH. HAPPY PRIDE 🌈💕 Love and Laughter will always drown hate. GOOD GRIEF on @primevideo NOW!”
Wayans shared a fourth photo, exactly like the third, but with a different head tilt. He captioned the post, “Do I look like I really give a f**k?! Happy PRIDE month. Especially to all the hateful dudes out there mad because I’m supporting family and friends. For people to be that homophobic wreaks of repressed feelings/desires. Bruh, don’t live like that. Come on out. Be you. That’s what PRIDE is all about… acceptance. I swear I got soooo many more pics.”
Throughout the handful of his Pride photoshoot posts, Marlon Wayans clapped back at critics attacking him for standing as an ally and being a proud father and uncle of relatives in the LGBTQ+ community. In a fifth post, Wayans shared a screenshot of him replying to one critic who wrote, “You failed as a father is what I’m hearing…” Wayans replied, “I should have my niece f**k you with her strap-on.”
Captioning the screenshot, Marlon Wayans wrote, “I’m not regular… don’t come for me. Just quietly unfollow and f**k off. I will make you question your life and its pitiful existence. On my platform, I support what the f**k I choose. D**kheads like this try to bully and I’m not that guy. And again… HAPPY PRIDE 🌈 D**kheads.”
