Marilyn Manson Hires Harvey Weinstein’s Attorney Ahead Of Court Battle With Ex Evan Rachel Wood Over Sexual Abuse Claims

Marilyn Manson has reportedly hired female attorney Blair Berk to his legal team as he plans to fight his ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood’s accusation of sexual abuse in court. Blair, who will be joining powerhouse lawyer Howard King on the case, has undoubtedly been one of the go-to attorneys for a lot of celebrities in recent years, including actor Mel Gibson and convicted sex offender Harvey Weinstein.

Marilyn is getting his legal representation in order after suing Evan for defamation back in March, saying that the claims she made against him in early 2021 were fabricated lies and affected his career and personal well-being. The actress, who dated Marilyn for five years starting in mid-2006, alleged that the rockstar had drugged her with meth and sleeping pills before raping her while she was dozed off.

She reasserted those remarks in the documentary, “Phoenix Rising,” where she said, “I’d wake up, I just remember doing the mental math quickly and thinking, ‘Just stay, just stay asleep, don’t move, just don’t move. So I would just lie limp and still until it was over, and then I swear to God, he would just fling my leg and walk out of the room.”

Evan also accused her ex of not being willing to have her stay on birth control, which led to her falling pregnant in 2011 — a pregnancy which she ended up terminating. And if the abortion ordeal wasn’t difficult enough, she recalled how she returned home later that day and was told by Marilyn to “make me dinner.”

”I’m supposed to be resting – my body has gone through this trauma… there’s aftermath here. And he didn’t care.”

After Marilyn’s filed his lawsuit in March, the 34-year-old spoke out and said that she wasn’t surprised by his decision to sue her, but she remains confident that the truth will prevail in the end — and she’s sure that with her evidence, the court will rule in her favor.

During an appearance on The View earlier this year, she was asked whether there were any fears that came with Marilyn trying to contend her allegations by filing a lawsuit against her, to which she said, “I can’t, obviously, speak about any of the specific allegations of the lawsuit, but I am not scared.

“I am sad, because this is how it works, this is what pretty much every survivor that tries to expose someone in a position of power goes through, and this is part of the retaliation that keeps survivors quiet. This is why people don’t want to come forward because this is – this was – expected.”
