We shared the hot seat with celebrated director Mari Schrader on her upcoming film “She Said,” which follows the story of the New York Times journalists Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor who published the report that exposed sexual abuse allegations against former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

The shocking story also serves as a launching pad for the #MeToo movement, shattering decades of silence around the subject of sexual assault and harassment in the industry and other environments. While talking with Schrader we dived into the importance of turning the story into film and bringing light to the incredible report that led to the #MeToo movement and giving the victims the platform to speak up.

An important note that Schrader makes is that the film is not just about Weinstein but other workplaces, other experiences, and other victims who have experienced any type of abuse in their daily life, and with She Said we bring to light what it took to expose this culture and give victims a voice.
