Police are currently investigating an incident where a man was tased by officers in front of his child late Wednesday in England.
The Guardian reports the video went viral on social media when Greater Manchester police officers tased 34-year-old Desmond Ziggy Mombeyarara after confronting him with his son at a gas station on Chester Road. Moments after the confrontation, the two officers begin to tase Mombeyarara while his son screams “Daddy!” The officers tell him to put his hands behind his back although he was incapacitated. Officials say the incident occurred after the officers stopped Mombeyarara for driving over the speed limit.
The video was recorded by Dionne Allman,19, who said the incident occurred around 11 pm. She said there was a lot of shouting between Mombeyarara and the officers. Additionally, she stated that the officers were “aggressive and threatening”
“A lot of disturbances happen at that petrol station and it’s something that I usually ignore, but I heard the kid screaming and that’s when I started to pay attention,”
