Man Trapped Inside Portable Toilet At Gettysburg National Military Park Is Rescued
Authorities claim an unidentified man was rescued after being trapped inside a portable toilet at the Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania.
Reportedly, while the man was using the porta potty at the park, high winds caused a tree to fall on top of him, trapping him inside. Per the Barlow Volunteer Fire Department, they were called to Little Round Top just before 4 p.m. on Friday (Apr. 30), where they found a tree atop a vehicle, but no one inside. Park Rangers then told officials that a tree had also trapped a man inside a portable toilet.

Upon discovery, crews began cutting away at the tree with a chainsaw and cutting away at the potty with another saw. The man was eventually pulled out, loaded into an ambulance and taken to Gettysburg Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Assistant Chief Joe Robinson said, “He was very lucky. It was a large tree, and it just missed striking him. It could have been very serious.”
