A Bend, Oregon man is suing his family doctor for $2.9 million after learning he had an affair with his wife for three years.

47-year-old Pierson Tone filed the lawsuit against Dr. Ronald Rosen in Deschutes County Circuit Court on Monday and the complaint claimed Rosen started having an affair with his wife between 2015 and 2018. Prior to the discovery of the affair, Tone, his wife, and their two kids were patients at Dr. Rosen’s clinic. He said he sought advice from Dr. Rosen when things were going downhill in his marriage and the doctor suggested medical marijuana and CBD along with practicing various breathing techniques to ease the stress. However, after Tone found out about the affair, he and his wife filed for divorce.
The lawsuit states “As a result of (Rosen’s) conduct, plaintiff sustained emotional distress including … the loss of his marriage and emotional and social destruction of his family.”

Dr. Rosen is also a certified “Laughter Yoga leader” and has been licensed to practice medicine since 1991. He also practices holistic medicine. His website also states he is married with two children.
