Man Hits Woman In The Head With A Sock Full Of Coins On NYC Subway Train

A Bronx woman was attacked by a fellow passenger after he assaulted her with a sock full of coins on a No. 6 train.

NYPD officers reported that the 45-year-old woman was on the train with her eight-year-old son last week when the male suspect approached them near the Hunts Point station. He kicked the woman’s foot then repeatedly attacked her with the coin-filled sock. She sustained a laceration on her head from the assault and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The official NYPD Crime Stoppers said on their official Twitter page that they are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect.

“WANTED for an ASSAULT:On 2/25/2021 at approx.3:45 PM., aboard the “6” train entering the Hunts Point station.The suspect kicked a 45 y/o female victim in the foot and then struck the female in the head with a sock full of coins.Any info call 800-577-TIPS. Reward up to $2,500″

According to PIX 11, there has been an increase in subway crime and deadly attacks on subway trains. Over 644 officers have been placed on trains to ensure all passengers travel to their destinations safely.
