A Massachusetts man was arrested after he was accused of fatally shooting his former neighbor at her Braintree home while disguised as a UPS worker.

According to the New York Post, Robert Bonang,61, dressed as a UPS worker and wore a mask before shooting Laurie Melchionda,59, multiple times early Wednesday morning. A witness told police that she was slightly uncomfortable by Bonang’s appearance and assumed he didn’t work for the logistics company based on his “uniform”. She also mentioned he carried a weird box before ringing Melchionda’s door.
Moments after, Bonang fired six gunshots from the “package” fatally wounding Melchionda. She was transported to a local hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Police arrested Bonang at gunpoint and he was arraigned on Thursday via video. He has pleaded not guilty to murder and illegal firearm charges along with planning to hire his own attorney. A motive for the shooting has yet to be determined and his sister says he was institutionalized back in 2014 for his behavior.
