A Maine man was arrested earlier this week after he chased McDonald’s employees with a chainsaw then stole food and drinks from the establishment.

According to ABC News, 26-year-old Alice Sweet of Portland entered a local McDonald’s with a chainsaw and hopped behind the counter as employees prepared food for customers. He chased the workers and proceeded to steal some food with a drink. The Westbrook Police Department said in a statement that Sweet also destroyed two vehicles in the restaurant’s parking lot with the weapon.
“When the manager confronted the suspect in the parking lot, the suspect began chasing the manager with the chainsaw,”

Sweet was eventually found at a nearby tire shop when police responded to the bizarre scene. He tried to flee from officers but he was apprehended. There were no reported injuries and the suspect’s motive is currently unknown.
Officers charged Sweet with robbery, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and violating conditions of release. The case is currently under investigation.
