A Louisiana woman was recently arrested after she allegedly stabbed her grandfather in the face for being asked to take a shower, during an argument over her hygiene habits.

It is reported that the woman, identified as 22-year-old Carrington Harris, got into a heated argument with her grandfather, who encouraged her to get in the shower and clean herself up. Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office said they responded to a call on Monday (August 28) at Harris’ grandparents’ residence in the 3900 block of Fountainbleu Road in Keithville, which is about 230 miles Northwest of Baton Rouge and 20 miles South of Shreveport.
Authorities said that the Louisiana woman went ballistic after being asked to bathe. They said she began throwing things around the house, and even went outside to turn the power off to the home over her grandparents’ request. Then, when both of the woman’s grandparents tried to restrain her, she broke free and and managed to run into the kitchen to grab a knife.
Law enforcement officials said while wielding a knife, the Louisiana woman continued to argue with her grandfather and at some point she allegedly charged him and stabbed the older man in the face. After the alleged stabbing, the woman fled the home and ran into the woods, where she tried to hide from her grandparents and police.
When the authorities and paramedics arrived to the home, investigators found Harris’ grandmother and grandfather inside. The couple told police what happened and how their argument with Harris “after asking her to shower,” led to her allegedly becoming so irate that she damaged the property inside the house, cut the power and stabbed her grandpa.

Police ended up having the grandfather taken to the Willis-Knighton South hospital by Caddo Parish Fire District 6. Reports say his injuries weren’t immediately made clear, so it is unknown how severely hurt he was. Meanwhile, police ended up locating the Louisiana woman hours later. The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office said she was hiding behind a nearby home.
After being apprehended by police, Harris was charged with domestic abuse battery, and domestic abuse battery with a dangerous weapon. The Louisiana woman currently remains in custody at the Caddo Correctional Center. According to the Sheriff’s Office, bond has not been set.
The Sheriff’s Office also says the investigation is still ongoing in this incident. Elsewhere, it is reported that in May of this year, Harris was previously arrested and charged with one count of domestic abuse battery. The status of that case is not immediately clear, nor is it clear who else was involved in that case.
