LeBron James Is Open To Rejoining Cavaliers & Wishes To Play With Son Bronny James Before Retiring

During the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, Ohio, LeBron James revealed to ‘The Athletic‘ that he’s open to rejoining the Cavaliers and shares that he wishes to play a season alongside his son Bronny James before retiring.

While LBJ’s current Los Angeles Lakers contract doesn’t expire until after the 2022-23 season, talks of him being a free agent in 2023 explores theories of him returning to his original team: the Cleveland Cavaliers. Seemingly confirming the possibility, LBJ says, “The door’s not closed on that. I’m not saying I’m coming back and playing, I don’t know. I don’t know what my future holds. I don’t even know when I’m free.”

Whether he returns home in 2023, stays in LA or heads to another city, one thing for sure is that in 2024, he wants to be wherever his son Bronny James is. 2024 is when he’ll be one year removed from high school and eligible to enter the NBA Draft. While giving NBA teams the heads up about where he wants to play before hanging up his jersey, LBJ says, “My last year will be played with my son. Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.” #Socialites, are you here for this?
