Following the Fulton County jail release of Atlanta rapper Gunna — who is caught up in the YSL RICO case with fellow ATL rapper Young Thug (and more) — social media immediately condemned the “pushin P” rapper and labeled him a “snitch.” Now, his lawyer is reiterating that Gunna’s NOT cooperated in the case.

Lawyer For Gunna Released Statement Reiterating That he Has NOT Cooperated In YSL RICO Case
Despite having all the facts and the label being unsubstantiated, Gunna’s legal team is vouching for him again, adamantly reporting that he has NOT cooperated with prosecutors in his and Thugger’s case.
As we previously reported, Gunna, born Sergio Kitchens, was released from jail on December 14, 2022 after taking an Alford plea deal in his YSL racketeering case. It has also been reported that several other defendants in the case also took plea deals.
In Gunna’s situation, he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of second degree murder. While entering his plea, the Alford deal maintains that he was innocent, but pleading guilty due to the threat of the death penalty.
A statement was released by Gunna’s co-lead defense counsel Steve Sadow.
It read, “After reading Ms. Wicker’s outstanding, insightful article, I am obliged to say for the record one more time: Gunna has never been interviewed by or cooperated with law enforcement or prosecutors in the RICO case.”
Sadow continued, “Nor have his attorneys proffered information on his behalf. What was said at his Alford plea hearing was solely to resolve his own case. It cannot be used by the prosecution against Young Thug or any defendant.”
