LAPD Horse Ditches Officer Rider & Sends Him On A Police Chase At Venice Beach

The folks at Venice Beach this weekend got a sight to see as an LAPD horse ditched its officer rider and sent him on a wild beach police chase to catch him.

The whole show went down on Saturday (May 23) after the mounted officer ended up falling off the saddle at the Venice Beach boardwalk. While trying to mount back on, the officer’s trusty steed decided he wanted his ‘Baywatch‘ moment and began trotting away from the officer and onto the beach.

As the officer and his colleague, also mounted on a horse, followed in an attempt to help wrangle the fleeing stallion, the big guy decided to give the officer a nice workout on the sand, as he ditched being detained. After a few laughable moments, the horse finally settled down, allowed the officer to rein him in, and put an end to the spectacle for the laughing beachgoers.

Additionally, the whole ordeal was captured on camera. Check it out below!
