LAPD Chief Michel Moore Sympathizes With Protestors, Says George Floyd Was Murdered

LAPD Chief Michel Moore won over protestors this weekend as he sympathized them, admitting that George Floyd was murdered at the hands of a police officer.

During one of the many protests in Los Angeles, Chief Moore calmly spoke with protestors, explaining his and his officers’ intentions of doing no harm nor arrests. They were simply on scene to address the fire that was blazing on in the background.

While grabbing the demonstrators’ attention, footage shows a fellow protestor shouting that Moore admitted to him that, in his opinion, George was indeed murdered in cold-blood by ex-Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin. Subsequently, the crowd cheers, and Moore advises them not to throw any more bottles or rocks. The crowd obliges, with the leading protestor chanting, “We’re back to peace! We’re back to peace!”

Chief Moore, took to Twitter to further speak on his coming to peace with protestors. He tweeted, “Yesterday was an opportunity to restart, and we witnessed that opportunity escape our collective ability to reach common ground—There were moments to do one thing, communicate as people, absent of violence. We start today with the hope and expectation that we can do just that.”
