LA Sports Fans Remember Kobe Bryant As MLB’s Dodgers Join The NBA Lakers As 2020 Champions!
This morning, fans are still celebrating the Los Angeles Dodgers who won the World Series on Tuesday. The team defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 6 of the Fall Classic at Globe Life Field, making It their seventh title in franchise history.
The Dodgers now join the NBA’s Lakers as 2020 champions and sports fans took to social media to highlight that. While celebrating, fans also dedicated both victories to late sports star, Kobe Bryant.
Following the Dodger’s big win, Nick Young tweeted: “This is all KOBE.” Another fan said, “in the year that Kobe leaves us, both the Dodgers and Lakers win their championship series 2-4. Dodgers win their 7th and the Lakers win their 17th giving 24 combined championships between them. Kobe lives on in the heart of LA #MambaForever.” “Kobe is watching over Los Angeles this year 💙 so proud to be from the city of angels after the first #Dodgers win in 32 years,” added another fan. In a video obtained by Fox LA, people in LA can even be seen chanting Kobe’s name while celebrating the Dodgers.

As we previously reported earlier this year, Kobe and daughter Gianna were headed to a basketball tournament at Mamba Academy in California when they died in a helicopter crash. Seven other passengers, Payton Chester, Sarah Chester, Alyssa Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, John Altobelli, Christina Mauser, and the helicopter’s pilot, Ara Zobayan, died in the fatal crash as well. Although he’s no longer here, fans are making sure his legacy lives on.
