Kyle Larson Reinstated By NASCAR Despite Using The N-Word

Nascar has reinstated Karl Larson after he was fired for using the N-word back in April on an online racing game. He was also dropped by his sponsors and fired by Chip Ganassi Racing.

Larson spent his time off taking part in diversity programs and then he applied for reinstatement and met his conditions.

“The work I’ve done over the last six months has had a major impact on me. I will make the most of this opportunity and look forward to the future,” Larson said.

In addition, Larson had to complete sensitivity training at NASCAR’s direction as a condition for his reinstatement. He also has other requirements to fulfill to remain reinstated.

“NASCAR continues to prioritize diversity and inclusion across our sport. Kyle Larson has fulfilled the requirements set by NASCAR and has taken several voluntary measures to better educate himself so that he can use his platform to help bridge the divide in our country,” NASCAR said in a statement.
