Kourtney Kardashian Says IVF Medication Put Her Into Menopause
As we previously reported, Kourtney Kardashian recently revealed that she is trying for a baby with her fiancé, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. She said in the trailer for their upcoming Hulu show, The Kardashians: “Travis and I want to have a baby and so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF, and it hasn’t been the most amazing experience.”
In another leaked clip, Kourtney, 42, goes on to share that the medication she was given while undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) caused her to enter early menopause. The reality TV star also explains how the procedure had caused several side effects including weight gain, which had been pointed out by trolls online: “Every single person on social media is always like, ‘Kourtney’s pregnant, Kourtney’s gained so much weight,’” she told mom Kris Jenner.
“It’s so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they’re actually going through.” She added, “the medication they’ve been giving me, they’ve put me into menopause.” Shocked by her daughter’s revelation, Jenner asked: “Menopause? Based off of what, a drug?” “Yes, literally menopause,” Kourtney replied.
The second video promo trailer has since been deleted and it’s not clear when or if it will be reposted.
The Poosh founder is already a mother to Mason, 12; Penelope, nine; and Reign, seven — with her former partner Scott Disick, whom she dated from 2005 until 2015. Barker, meanwhile, shares two kids with ex-wife Shanna Moakler: 18-year-old son Landon, and daughter Alabama, 16. He also helps raise Moakler’s 22-year-old daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, with ex Oscar De La Hoya.
