Kim Kardashian Talks About Divorce & Co-Parenting With Kanye West- Says No matter What, Co-Parents Should Be Each Other’s “Biggest Cheerleader”

The reality star explained that choosing to end her marriage actually came from her decision to start choosing herself at 40 instead of always putting other people before her. “For so long, I did what made other people happy,” the beauty mogul said. “And I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important, to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy. I’ve chosen myself. I think it’s okay to choose you. My 40s are about being Team Me. I’m going to eat well. I’m going to work out. I’m going to have more fun, spend more time with my kids and the people who make me happy. I’m going to put my phone down. Unfollow if I don’t want to see something on Instagram. Khloé came up with the best phrase for that yesterday. She said, ‘Post and ghost.’”

Kardashian went on to talk about co-parenting with Kanye West and what she expected. As we previously reported, YE sat with Jason Lee and respectfully detailed how difficult it’s been to co-parent with the beauty mogul. However, Kim said it’s important to her to have a healthy co-parenting relationship no matter what: “You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be ‘Your dad’s the best,’” she said. “Make sure you are your co-parent’s biggest cheerleader, no matter what you’re personally going through.” YE has caught wind of Kim’s Vogue interview and reacted on Instagram saying, “God please bring our family back together.”

As we previously reported, Kim filed for divorce from the self-made billionaire rapper, 44, back in February 2021 after seven years of marriage. They share four children: North, 8, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 2. While its clear that the two are having a difficult time, it looks like they’re both open to making co-parenting work for the sake of their kids.
