Kierra Sheard Talks Successful ‘Clark Sisters’ Biopic, Working With Kanye West In The Future & More On #QuarantineChronicles
Hollywood Unlocked is back with another episode of #QuarantineChronicles and this time we have the talented actress and powerhouse singer Kierra Sheard! That’s right! Kierra took some time out to chat with HU’s Jason Lee and shared what she’s been up to while in quarantine.
The 32-year-old said she’s been staying busy with work and take walks from time-to-time. However, what’s really been keeping her spirits up during this unfortunate pandemic is her mother, Karen Clark Sheard, and father, John Drew Sheard’s prayer call, which is open to the public. Of course, the two talked about the successful Lifetime biopic, “The Clark Sisters,” which Kierra started in as her mother. She also told Jason that it was kind of challenging to tap into her parents’ love story. But overall, she said it was a great experience and praised actress Aunjanue Ellis for playing the heaven out of her grandmother, Dr. Mattie Moss Clark in the biopic.

During their conversation, Jason Lee brought up Kanye West’s latest gospel album, “Jesus Is King,” and shared how great it would have been if The Clark Sisters were apart of it. However, he really wanted to know if Kierra would be interested in collaborating a song with him in the future. Without hesitation, Kierra honestly said, “absolutely.” She explained:
“I would and I would make it clear that just because I’m working with someone,” Kierra paused before explaining, “we have family members that we disagree with but I’m still going to love them. She went on to say that “sometimes us coming together can do something different for the world.”
“But there will be some statements following my decision with that feature,” Kierra said while laughing.
