Kevin Federline continues to hog the limelight after recently sitting down for an interview with “60 Minutes Australia” to discuss his ex-wife Britney Spears, their former relationship, and why their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, have seemingly distanced themselves from her. The episode, which is set to air on Sunday, has already been teased on the show’s official Twitter page, showing snippets of what appears to be Federline addressing Spears’ conservatorship.

“I still feel bad for her,” the former backup dancer, who retains sole custody of their children and earns a reported $20k in child support, said. “The boys, I had to worry about them; I couldn’t get involved […] it’s been a few months since they’ve actually seen her.” The preview then audaciously ends with a line lifted from Spears’ “Oops! I Did It Again” hit song, where she sings, “I’m not that innocent.”

Earlier this month, the pop star’s lawyer called out Federline for posting secret recordings seemingly taken from the boys while Spears was scolding them for their bad behavior. But in the way that the clips were posted, along with a defensive caption written by the dad of six, it was heavily insinuated that Spears was an unfit mother because she was quarreling with her sons.

“I can not sit back and let my sons be accused in this way after what they’ve been through. As much as it hurts us, we decided as a family to post these videos,” he captioned the post. “This isn’t even the worst of it. The lies have to stop. I hope our kids grow up to be better than this.”

In one of the videos, Spears is heard telling her children to start respecting her by treating her like a woman after one of her kids wanted to argue about her coming into his bedroom to apply some lotion to his coarse face. She responded by telling him that they were in her house and that if she wants to come into the room at whatever time of the day, she will do just that.

In a statement released to Metro, Spears’ attorney Mathew Rosengart said, “Britney Spears is a brilliantly-talented, extremely-hardworking icon, who is rightfully beloved and respected by millions around the world. The same, unfortunately, cannot be said about Mr Federline, who for reasons that are inexplicable, decided to give a gratuitous interview that has hurt the mother of his children.”

Back in 2018, Federline requested that his child support payments should be increased from $20k to $60k a month so that when their boys are with him, they are living the same lifestyle they have when they are with their mother.
