Has Katy Perry called it quits with her fiancé Orlando Bloom? Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the Harleys in Hawaii singer hasn’t been sporting her engagement at a handful of events, including her recent appearance at the Met Gala 2022 — and people are now speculating whether Katy and Orlando are still together.
While the 37-year-old was wearing a ring on that finger at the annual fashion occurrence in New York last week, it wasn’t the ring Orlando had presented to her when he popped the question on Valentine’s Day in 2019. Moreover, Katy also didn’t wear the sparkling diamond during her latest tapings of FOX’s American Idol, which she co-judges alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
According to OK! Magazine, while the mother-of-one, who shares her one-year-old daughter Daisy with Orlando, enjoyed a trip to Baha Mar with her beau last month, she has rarely posted him on her social media page, seemingly adding more fuel to the fire with theories that the pair could perhaps be on rocky terms. Katy and Orlando first met at a Golden Globes after-party in early 2016 and dated until March 2017, when they decided to separate. They rekindled their romance in February 2018 and have been together ever since.

The couple initially planned to tie the knot back in 2020, but following the pandemic outbreak, they decided to postpone those plans until it was safe to hold a ceremony that would include all of their friends and closest family members. The Roar chart-topper previously explained that she was halting all of her wedding plans for the foreseeable future, stressing that with the growing rise of Covid infections, her priority had drastically shifted to making sure her loved ones were not jeopardizing their health by attending her nuptials.
The ceremony was expected to be held in Japan but was later pushed back until further notice, with a source telling People at the time, “They were both so elated that all the wedding details were finally coming together, but they are hitting pause because of coronavirus.”
And though she was no longer looking to walk down the aisle anytime soon, Katy did share a statement of her own, saying that she still had a lot of exciting things to look forward to, such as the birth of her daughter. “There’s a lot happening this summer. Not only will I be giving birth, literally and figuratively… to something you guys have been waiting for,” she revealed. “I’m excited, we’re excited, and happy. It’s probably the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep. I thought I would tell you guys in the best way through a piece of music.”
Katy was previously married to British actor and comedian Russell Brand, whom she tied the knot with in India. But after just two years of marriage, the two decided to file for divorce.
