Karen Civil Admits To Hiring A Hacker To Take Down Hollywood Unlocked Page For Refusing To Remove A Post

In 2018, the Hollywood Unlocked Instagram
page was taken down and did not return for months. It was later revealed that Karen Civil, “social and digital media marketing strategist” was behind the takedown.

If you can recall, that same year, “Love & Hip-Hop” star James R called Civil out and alleged that she robbed him of $17K. Of course, as a social media outlet that covers all things entertainment, Hollywood Unlocked went ahead and reposted James’ allegations. However, Civil demanded for the post to be taken down but we refused to do so. As a result, Civil retaliated and hired a teen hacker to take down the HU account. As months went by, her hacker contacted CEO Jason Lee and admitted to working for her for $20K. The young boy said Civil promised to help his career but when she ghosted him, he threatened to expose her to us, which he eventually did.

Civil has been in hot waters all this week after Jessie Woo revealed that she won her lawsuit against the controversial strategist, who has been accused of scamming other artists in the past. A Clubhouse chat room was made this Saturday to talk about all the drama surrounding her, and Karen even joined in. Shockingly, she admitted to “getting her hands dirty” in 2018 to get back at Jason. After sounding off on Clubhouse, she responded to Jason and the CH room and said, “He’s absolutely right in a certain sense,” Karen admitted. “Yeah this kid is a hacker and yeah Jason… you playing this game, yeah I hit this n*gga.”

She went on to say, “nobody promised this n*gga $20K. Nobody promised him a rap career or nothing like that. He decided to double back and tell you some stuff — Jason called me about it. I admitted it to Jason, I apologized to Jason.” Karen reiterated that, “he’s absolutely right! Me and him did have a back-and-forth and it was a lot sh*t. So when he goes on his rant and tangent, he has a right to be upset. Me and him would go back-and-forth in war, me and him didn’t see eye-to-eye.

Karen went on to say that although she apologized, she noted that Jason’s hurt “doesn’t have an expiration date so I can’t be mad at him for that. So I’ll own that.”

Before concluding she said again that “Jason is right on that,” referring to the CEO telling ClubHouse about Karen taking down his page with a hacker. “I told Jason to take something down. He didn’t and I did what I had to do, and I apologized. It got back to Jason — Jason called me upset flipping like ‘why the f*ck would you do this, this is how I eat.’” Karen went on to say, “I can own my bullsh*t for that.”

Joyner Lucas, another artist who recently accused Karen of stealing $60K from him was also in the chat room to confront her. But here’s how social media is reacting to it all:
