Joe Exotic has hired a new legal team who will help him used unseen footage from the “Tiger King” series to use for a pending trial.

Joseph Maldonaldo-Passage aka “Joe Exotic” made the announcement on Tuesday that he hired Phillips & Hunt, the same legal team that was used to solve the case of Carole Baskins’ missing husband Don Lewis. Lewis’s family hired the team in 1997 after he mysteriously disappeared after telling Baskins he was traveling to Miami. His van was found near an airport but there were no records of him boarding a flight.
Joe is currently serving a 22-year sentence for a botched murder-for-hire plot against Baskins and the legal team says they are “honored” to represent the Netflix star. “We are honored to announce that Joe has retained our firm. We’re going to seek a new trial, and justice in the criminal and civil courts,” the firm said.
“Work has already begun on @joe_exotic‘s New Trial Motion. We are proud to be leading his team. I was sworn into the Western District of Oklahoma this morning. This isn’t about tigers, television, or tomfoolery, it’s about justice and evidence. More soon.”

Recently, Exotic has asked President Joe Biden to pardon him after Donald Trump didn’t fulfill his wishes.
