The suspect was identified in charging documents as Craig Deleeuw Robertson. Authorities were reportedly looking into Robertson after he allegedly made threats towards Joe Biden. According to the report, the president announced that he will be making a trip to Utah and the man allegedly said he needed to prepare his camouflage and sniper rifle.  In the statement, the FBI said it “is reviewing an agent-involved shooting which occurred around 6:15 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 in Provo, Utah.”

“The incident began when special agents attempted to serve arrest and search warrants at a residence. The subject is deceased,” the FBI said. The U.S. Secret Service said in a statement Wednesday: “The Secret Service is aware of the FBI investigation involving an individual in Utah who has exhibited threats towards a protectee. “While we always remain in close coordination with our law enforcement partners, this is an FBI-led effort and we would refer any related questions to the FBI,” the statement said.

This isn’t the first time Joe Biden has been threatened by someone. A few years ago a Maryland man was arrested after leaving serval disturbing letters on his neighbors door detailing how kill Joe Biden and kidnap Kamala Harris.

According to the New York Post, 42-year-old James Dale Reed caught the attention of federal officers after he left letters on the door of his neighbors who supported the Biden/Harris campaign in the town of Frederick on October 4. The letters detailed how he would kidnap “Grandpa Biden” then rape Harris before killing them both.

A portion of the letter reads, “We have a list of homes and addresses by your election signs. We are the ones with those scary guns, We are the ones your children have nightmares about. The Boogeymen coming in the night.”

He was arrested by local authorities last week and confessed to writing the letters during questioning. Reed explained that he didn’t know the homeowner and decided to leave the letter at the first home he saw with the Biden campaign signs. Reed also told prosecutors that he was currently upset with the “political situation” and that “this will happen,..due to the political climate.”
