Two Georgia Jimmy John’s employees have loss their jobs after a video that shows them spitting in food.
WALB, spoke to two employees who still work there and the employees revealed that the sandwiches that were being made that day was for them. Katelyn Phillips and Lainey Blanchard told WALB that they were coming into work the day that the video was taken. They say that they asked their co-workers to make them a sandwich before their shift and that is when the video was recorded, but they were not aware of what happened until weeks later. “It’s absolutely disgusting,” Phillips said. “It’s embarrassing. I would never wish this on anybody that I don’t like.”

The say the two girls possibly spit in their food because they had some issues with each their in the past. “I was actually very, very disgusted,” Blanchard said. “I just never thought I’d see the day that she would do something that nasty.” John Taylor, the owner of Jimmy John’s also released a statement and assured his customers that something like that will never happen again. “We pride ourselves on how clean of a store we are, and the behavior of these two girls does not reflect whatsoever on our staff,” Taylor said.
Now this isn’t the first time something crazy has happened when it comes to fast food restaurants. We previously shared a story on how a Michigan woman said she was mortified after eating a Subway sandwich that contained feces.
TikToker @Kelscoyne said she purchased a sandwich from a Subway sandwich earlier this week in West Lansing. In the video, she explained that the sandwich smelled like sewage after she took a small bite. Once she came home, she ate the sandwich again and spat it back out.

“I smelled the same exact sh*t and looked in the papers. I looked between the two papers in between the wrappers on the sandwich, and its sh*t, feces. I’m not sure if it’s a dog or a human, but the police took a swab of it. Public health is working on trying to figure it out.”
The young woman continued to say that she filed an online complaint with Subway and called their corporate office five times. The company told her that she had to wait for someone to respond to her complaint. Since the incident, Kels has been disgusted by the thought of eating as the idea of consuming feces causes her to feel nauseous.
