“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has recently come under fire as its host Jimmy Fallon faces similar allegations previously made against Kelly Clarkson and Ellen Degeneres’ shows. Numerous past and present staffers have come forward, describing the workplace as “toxic” and attributing it to Fallon’s alleged erratic behavior while on set. Rolling Stone published a report detailing these accusations, which apparently left some of the employees in a constant state of fear while working with the talk show host. Fallon, realizing the gravity of the situation, issued an apology during a Zoom call with his staff.

He expressed embarrassment and regret, acknowledging that his actions had contributed to the negative atmosphere. NBC, the network airing the show, assured that they take workplace issues seriously and would thoroughly investigate any concerns raised by their employees.

According to anonymous staff members, Fallon’s behavior behind the scenes often included outbursts and erratic conduct. Some even speculated that he was intoxicated while at work. These serious allegations have obviously painted a worrying picture of the late-night host, who is typically known for his lighthearted and jovial demeanor on camera. The report also shed light on incidents involving showrunner Jamie Granet-Bederman, who was accused of making inappropriate comments and using her position to bully staff members. Additionally, employees claimed that the HR department failed to create a safe space for them, exacerbating the toxic environment further. Shockingly, one accuser was fired without any explanation.

While there were some employees who defended Fallon and described him as positive and constructive in his feedback, Rolling Stone noted that none of the approximately 80 employees they contacted had anything positive to say about working on The Tonight Show. This discrepancy highlights the complex dynamics at play within a workplace where individuals may have different experiences and perceptions of their environment. However, the sheer number of accusers raises serious concerns about the overall culture behind the scenes.

The allegations against Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show have sparked an important conversation about workplace dynamics and the responsibility of those in positions of power. It serves as a reminder that even in the glitzy world of entertainment, toxicity can flourish if left unchecked. It is crucial for companies like NBC to prioritize creating safe and supportive work environments where employees feel empowered to speak up about any misconduct or discomfort they may experience.

  1. I get so tired of hearing this. If you feel the environment is toxic then address it within the organization. If you went to HR and nothing happened why not address it with Jimy himself our outside labor organizations.
