In a new interview with Variety, Lopez shared her thoughts on their past experiences and how they have grown as individuals since then. Additionally, she discussed her upcoming album and film, which will explore their romance and the challenges they faced. Lopez acknowledged that the heavy media scrutiny they endured during their relationship left a lasting impact on both her and Affleck. The constant attention and invasion of privacy took a toll on their mental well-being, leading to what they now refer to as relationship PTSD.
Despite the challenges they faced in the past, Lopez emphasized that she and Affleck have grown wiser with age. They have come to understand what truly matters in life and have learned to prioritize their happiness over the opinions of others. “We’re wiser. We also know what’s important, what’s really important in life, and it’s not so much what other people think. It’s about being true to who you are,” she explained.

The film will also show Affleck’s letter to Lopez during their relationship in 2002. She didn’t fully detail if the film was a documentary or a scripted movie but said: “You have to see it, and you’ll have to experience it to understand it. That’s why I call it a ‘musical experience.’ Because there’s music, you can see it, you can hear it, and then you’ll get to live it.”
The couple first started dating after meeting each other on the set of their film “Gigli,” which led to a box office failure and put a strain on their relationship due to scrutiny from the media and public. They called off their wedding in 2003 and broke off the relationship shortly after.
However, their relationship was rekindled in 2021, and they got married in Las Vegas last year.
