Janice Dickinson, 71, is accusing Tyra Banks, 52, of being a “hardcore b*tch” and going “harder on Black girls” on her hit TV show, ‘America’s Next Top Model (ANTM).’ Dickinson alleges the supermodel TV host “tortured” all of her contestants, but mostly the Black women out of “competitiveness and jealousy.”

On February 16, Netflix released its Tyra Banks-featured documentary series ‘Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model.’ The tree-part docuseries took a deep dive into the controversial legacy of the 2000s hit TV show. The doc featured interviews with supermodel and TV show creator/host Tyra Banks, executive producer Ken Mok, judges Jay Manuel (also creative director), Nigel Barker (also photographer), and Miss J. Alexander (also catwalk coach), plus former winners and contestants.

Rivaling Netflix’s ‘ANTM‘ documentary is E!’s own ‘Dirty Rotten Scandals: America’s Next Top Model.’ In the latter, Janice Dickinson, self-proclaimed “world’s first supermodel” and former judge on ‘ANTM,’ dragged Tyra Banks. According to Daily Mail UK, Dickinson claimed the show was less of a modeling competition and more a platform for Banks to feed her ego off of humiliation, degradation, and psychological torture.

Janice Dickinson Alleges Tyra Banks Was The Actual Mean Girl On ‘America’s Next Top Model’

Dickinson, who served as judge for the first four seasons of the reality show, is best known for not holding her tongue. She’s notably been brutally honest regarding contestants’ appearances, personalities, and weight. However, she now alleges her persona on TV was just a character and enforced by the show’s producers, namely its creator, Ms. Banks.

She also recalled taking the heat for being the mean judge, insisting it was really Banks who was coordinating the attacks and ultimately to blame. Dickinson alleged, “The producers, especially Tyra, were begging me to be harsher and cruel, like Simon Cowell was on ‘American Idol.'”

Dickinson also recalled Banks’ notorious and explosive moment upon eliminating Tiffany Richardson. She said:

“Tyra didn’t want any competition. She went off on one girl and it was so frightening that I was going to get up and hold her down. She would go harder on the Black girls on the show because of competitiveness and jealousy and her being older than these young women. She was always trying to be this tough teen mom to the girls but she didn’t know them, she didn’t give them enough confidence.”

Dickinson continued to allege Banks not only feed her ego with the girls’ pain, but also profited off of it. She claimed:

“They left the show completely depressed and depleted while she got so rich. ‘America’s Next Top Model‘ really tortured these girls for Tyra’s ego. I was there and I saw it for four seasons. She was a hardcore b*tch.”
